DO I NEED TO HAVE A TITLE?
If you can’t find your title, you can get an “Affidavit in Lieu of Title” from any DMV office within a few minutes for less than $15 dollars. (The only two items that the DMV office will need is the vehicle VIN number and your driver’s license.)
If you don’t have either one, a “Junk Vehicle Affidavit” that is at least 15 days old and that has been notarized will work as well. (In order to obtain a “Junk Vehicle Affidavit” you will need to contact either the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Non-Emergency number, the Police Department in the city or town where your vehicle is located or fill out the Junk Vehicle Affidavit Inspection Request Form below:
