Unless the car or truck have sentimental value to you and you want to repair it no matter what. And in that case that decision is up to you and whatever you think is best for you. However, for most of us, it is not worth putting money and investing into an old scrap vehicle or chunk vehicle. You are better off buying another used vehicle with low mileage or a vehicle with Normal mileage, but that has been well taken care of and maintained by the previous owner.
If it has mold and especially significant mold, then it might not be worth sending it to a detail shop to have it professionally clean because even then, you never know. The detailer that ends up working on your vehicle might have a bad day and might not do a thorough job or might even miss a spotter too, and none of us can afford to be in any situation where there is mold inside a car or a truck. Especially when we will have to spend a significant amount of time inside that area and where we will be breathing in that mold.
